Fried Country Ribs

Ingredients:

2 pounds country-style pork ribs
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

Place the country ribs in a bowl with the buttermilk and let marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best flavor and tenderness.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

Remove the ribs from the buttermilk and coat them thoroughly in the seasoned flour mixture.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer over medium heat. Fry the ribs in batches for about 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown, crispy, and fully cooked inside.

Remove the fried ribs and place them on paper towels or a wire rack to drain excess oil. Serve hot with barbecue sauce or your favorite Southern sides.
