Deviled Eggs Classic Style
Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- 1 tsp white vinegar or pickle juice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1Paprika for garnish/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then cover, remove from heat, and let sit for 12 minutes.
- Drain and transfer eggs to cold water. Let cool completely, then peel.
- Slice eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove yolks. Place yolks in a bowl and arrange egg whites on a serving plate.
- Mash yolks with a fork until smooth. Stir in mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar or pickle juice, salt, and black pepper until creamy.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture evenly into the egg whites.
- Lightly sprinkle with paprika.
- Chill before serving for best flavor.
