Deviled Eggs Classic Style

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp white vinegar or pickle juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1Paprika for garnish/4 tsp black pepper


Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then cover, remove from heat, and let sit for 12 minutes.
  2. Drain and transfer eggs to cold water. Let cool completely, then peel.
  3. Slice eggs in half lengthwise and carefully remove yolks. Place yolks in a bowl and arrange egg whites on a serving plate.
  4. Mash yolks with a fork until smooth. Stir in mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar or pickle juice, salt, and black pepper until creamy.
  5. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture evenly into the egg whites.
  6. Lightly sprinkle with paprika.
  7. Chill before serving for best flavor.
