My sister brought this to Thanksgiving last year and I watched three grown adults nearly fight over the last slice. I’m not even exaggerating — my brother-in-law literally hid a piece in the back of the fridge behind the milk.
I finally made it myself last weekend and now I completely understand the chaos. That first bite is dangerously good — creamy peanut butter filling that melts on your tongue, crunchy Butterfinger pieces in every single bite, all sitting on a buttery graham cracker crust. It’s the kind of dessert that makes you close your eyes for a second because it’s just *that* good.
The best part? It takes maybe 20 minutes to throw together, then the freezer does all the work. No oven. No stress. Just pure, ridiculous, peanut-buttery bliss.
I brought it to a potluck on Saturday and someone genuinely asked if I ordered it from a bakery. Nope — just cream cheese, peanut butter, and a candy bar aisle impulse buy that turned into the hero of the dessert table.
**INGREDIENTS:**
• 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened to room temperature
• ½ cup creamy peanut butter
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1 (8-oz) container Cool Whip, thawed
• 6–8 full-size Butterfinger bars, crushed (save some for topping)
• 1 prepared graham cracker crust (or Oreo crust if you’re feeling wild)
**INSTRUCTIONS:**
Beat the cream cheese and peanut butter together until smooth and fluffy.
Mix in the vanilla and powdered sugar until completely combined.
Fold in the Cool Whip gently until the filling is light and creamy.
Stir in most of the crushed Butterfingers, saving a handful for the top.
Spread the filling into the crust and smooth it out evenly.
Top with the remaining crushed Butterfingers and press them in lightly.
Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
Let it sit out for about 5 minutes before slicing so it’s perfectly creamy.
Saving this one for every birthday, holiday, and random Tuesday when I need something ridiculously good. Who’s making this first — and be honest, are you sharing or hiding a slice in the back of the fridge?
