3-Ingredient Garlic Butter Roasted Potatoes
These crispy, golden potatoes are incredibly flavorful with just 3 main ingredients: potatoes, butter, and garlic. The edges get beautifully browned while the centers stay tender and fluffy.
π Ingredients
- 2 lb (900 g) baby red potatoes, cut into quarters
- 6 tbsp (85 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 6 cloves garlic, finely minced
Optional: salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
π©βπ³ Instructions
- Prepare the potatoes
Preheat your oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C). Wash the potatoes and cut them into evenly sized quarters. - Make the garlic butter
Melt the butter and stir in the minced garlic. - Coat the potatoes
Place the potatoes in a large bowl. Pour the garlic butter over them and toss thoroughly until every piece is coated. Add salt and pepper if desired. - Roast
Spread the potatoes in a single layer on a large baking sheet, preferably cut-side down. Avoid overcrowding the pan. - Bake until golden
Roast for 35β45 minutes, turning the potatoes once halfway through. Continue cooking until deeply golden and crispy on the outside and fork-tender inside. - Finish and serve
Let them rest for 2β3 minutes, then toss gently with any garlic butter left on the pan. Serve hot.
π₯ For extra crispy potatoes
For the best texture, don’t overcrowd the baking sheet. Give each potato some space so the moisture can escape and the edges can become beautifully crisp.
