Fried Cabbage with Noodles and Bacon
Ingredients:
8 ounces egg noodles
6 slices bacon, chopped
1 small head cabbage, chopped
1 small onion, sliced
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions:
Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the grease in the skillet.
Add the onion to the skillet and cook until softened. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
Add the chopped cabbage, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage becomes tender and lightly browned.
Add the butter, cooked noodles, and crispy bacon to the skillet. Toss everything together and cook for another 2–3 minutes until heated through.
Serve warm as a hearty Southern comfort dish.
