Country Style Ribs
Ingredients
- 3 lbs country-style pork ribs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder (optional)
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Season the country-style ribs on all sides with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder if using.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the ribs on all sides until browned.
- Transfer ribs to a baking dish. Pour in chicken broth and sprinkle brown sugar over the ribs. Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake for 2 to 2½ hours until the ribs are tender.
- Remove foil, brush ribs generously with barbecue sauce, and return to the oven uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes until caramelized and sticky.
- Serve hot with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, or cornbread.
