🧾 Ingredients

Cheesecake filling

  • 225 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Strawberry layer

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Rolls

  • 8–10 slices white sandwich bread (crusts removed)
    or tortillas / thin crepes as an alternative

  • ¼ cup melted butter

Coating

  • ½ cup crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers

  • 2 tbsp sugar

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the strawberries

  • Mix chopped strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice.

  • Let sit 10 minutes, then lightly mash.

  • Drain excess juice so the rolls don’t get soggy.

2️⃣ Make the cheesecake filling

  • In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.

3️⃣ Flatten the bread

  • Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread into a thin rectangle.

4️⃣ Assemble

  • Spread a thin layer of cheesecake filling on each slice.

  • Add a spoonful of strawberries.

  • Roll tightly into a log.

5️⃣ Coat

  • Brush each roll with melted butter.

  • Roll in the crushed wafer + sugar mixture.

6️⃣ Cook (choose one)

Pan-fry (best flavor):

  • Cook rolls in a non-stick pan over medium heat.

  • Turn until golden on all sides (about 8–10 minutes).

OR Oven:

  • Bake at 180°C / 350°F for 10–12 minutes until golden.
