🍒 Cherries in the Snow Dessert

📝 Ingredients (Serves 8–10)

Crust Layer

  • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs (or vanilla wafer crumbs)

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 6 tbsp melted butter

Cream Layer

  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 (8 oz) container Cool Whip (or 1½ cups whipped cream)

Topping

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

  • Optional: fresh cherries or shaved white chocolate for garnish

🍳 Instructions

1. Make the crust

  1. In a bowl, mix graham crumbs, sugar, and melted butter.

  2. Press into the bottom of a 9×13 dish or an 8×8 dish for thicker layers.

  3. Chill while preparing the filling.

2. Make the cream layer

  1. Beat softened cream cheese until smooth.

  2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla; beat until creamy.

  3. Fold in Cool Whip until fluffy and fully combined.

  4. Spread evenly over the crust.

3. Add the cherries

  1. Spoon cherry pie filling evenly over the cream layer.

  2. Smooth gently with a spatula.

4. Chill

Refrigerate at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor and set texture.
