Cheesy Philly Cheesesteaks

🥩 Ingredients

  • 500 g beef steak (thinly sliced – ribeye is best)
  • 1 large onion (sliced)
  • 1 green bell pepper (optional, sliced)
  • 4 sandwich rolls (hoagie or baguette)
  • 8 slices cheese (Provolone, mozzarella, or cheddar)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Optional: mushroom

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the vegetables

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan
  • Add onions (and peppers/mushrooms if using)
  • Cook until soft and slightly caramelized
  • Remove and set aside

2️⃣ Cook the beef

  • In the same pan, add remainng oil
  • Cook the thin beef slices on high heat
  • Season with salt & pepper
  • Cook quickly (2–3 minutes max so it stays tender)

3️⃣ Combine & add cheese

  • Add veggies back to the pan
  • Mix everything together
  • Place cheese slices on top
  • Let it melt nicely over the meat

4️⃣ Assemble the sandwich

  • Lightly toast your bread
  • Fill with the cheesy meat mixture
  • Serve hot 🔥
