Meat and Potato Casserole recipe 

Meat and Potato Casserole recipe that’s perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground sausage)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cups potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.

2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with diced onions until fully cooked. Drain excess grease and season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

3. Layer half the potatoes in the prepared baking dish, followed by half the cooked meat mixture. Repeat layers.

4. In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk, then pour over the casserole.

5. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.

6. Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheese on top, and bake uncovered for 15 more minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

7. Let it cool slightly before serving.
