Peach Cobbler

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups sliced peaches
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup melted butter


Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside.

Pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth.

Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter without stirring.

Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter. Do not stir, as the batter will rise around the peaches while baking.

Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.

Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
