🍔 Juicy Bison Burgers
Ingredients:
-
1 lb ground bison
-
ÂĽ cup finely chopped onion
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp smoked paprika
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
4 burger buns, toasted
-
Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, mustard, mayo
Instructions:
-
Mix the patties: In a bowl, combine ground bison, onion, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently—don’t overwork the meat.
-
Form the patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty. Make a small indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing while cooking.
-
Cook: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness.
-
Toast the buns: While the burgers cook, lightly toast the buns on the grill or skillet for 1–2 minutes.
-
Assemble: Place each patty on a toasted bun and add your favorite toppings—lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, mustard, or mayo.
Serving Tip:
Bison burgers are leaner than beef, so avoid overcooking to keep them juicy. Their slightly sweet, rich flavor pairs perfectly with sharp cheddar or a smoky barbecue sauce.
Enjoy your healthier, flavorful alternative to beef burgers!
