🥐 Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry Squares

Ham & Cheese Puff Pastry Squares

The cheese gets all melty and stretchy inside. The pastry puffs up into these crispy, golden layers that shatter when you bite in. And honestly? They’re so easy it feels like cheating.

**INGREDIENTS:**

• 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
• 150 g ham, thinly sliced
• 150 g cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Gruyère), grated
• 1 egg, beaten (for brushing)

**INSTRUCTIONS:**

1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 6 equal squares.
3. Layer a slice of ham and a generous handful of cheese on one half of each square.
4. Fold the pastry over to make a rectangle and press the edges firmly with a fork to seal.
5. Brush the tops with beaten egg until they’re glossy.
6. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until puffed and deeply golden.
7. Let them cool for just a minute (if you can wait), then serve warm.
They’re perfect for breakfast, lunch, snacks, or whenever you need something comforting that tastes way fancier than the effort you put in.
