🍎 3-Apple 10-Minute Apple Pie
Ingredients
- 3 medium apples
- 3 large eggs
- 75 g (⅓ cup + 1 tbsp) granulated sugar
- 1 packet vanilla sugar or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 150 g (about 1¼ cups) all-purpose flour
- 10 g (2 teaspoons) baking powder
- 100 g (7 tablespoons) butter, melted
- 1–2 tablespoons sugar, for the apples
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, optional
- Powdered sugar, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F. Grease a 20 cm / 8-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- Prepare the apples: Peel, core, and cut the 3 apples into thin slices or small wedges.
- Arrange the apples evenly across the bottom of the prepared pan. Sprinkle them with 1–2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon if using.
- Make the batter: Beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla until light and slightly foamy.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Gradually add this mixture to the eggs, stirring until smooth.
- Pour in the melted butter and mix just until everything is combined.
- Pour the batter evenly over the apples. Gently shake or tap the pan so the batter settles between the apple pieces.
- Bake for 30–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The exact baking time can vary depending on your oven and the moisture in the apples.
- Let the cake cool for about 10–15 minutes. Carefully remove it from the pan.
- Dust generously with powdered sugar before serving.
🍏 Tips for the best result
- Use sweet-tart apples such as Gala, Golden Delicious, Pink Lady, or Granny Smith.
- Don’t slice the apples too thickly; thinner slices become beautifully tender.
- For a richer flavor, add ½ teaspoon cinnamon and a little lemon zest.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
