Garlic Cheesy Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley


Instructions:

Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 15–20 minutes until the potatoes are fork tender.

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the minced garlic and butter while the potatoes are still hot.

Mash the potatoes until smooth, then stir in the milk, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper.

Continue mixing until the cheese is melted and everything is creamy and well combined.

Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve warm
