Cheeseburger French Fry Casserole
A cozy, crowd-pleasing casserole loaded with crispy fries, seasoned beef, melted cheese, and a creamy burger-style sauce.
Ingredients
For the Casserole

1 bag (28–32 oz / 800–900 g) frozen French fries

1 lb (450 g) ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped
-
1 small red bell pepper, finely diced (optional but great for color/flavor)

2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
1 tsp smoked paprika
-
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack
-
Optional garnish: parsley or green onions
For the Burger Sauce (Drizzle)

½ cup mayonnaise
-
¼ cup ketchup
-
1 tbsp yellow mustard
-
1 tbsp relish (optional)
-
½ tsp paprika
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
1–2 tbsp water to thin if needed
Instructions
1. Cook the French Fries

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

Spread fries on a baking tray and bake until crispy and golden (20–25 minutes).

You can also air-fry them.
2. Prepare the Beef Mixture

In a large pan over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned.

Add chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened.

Season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce.

Drain excess fat.
3. Build the Casserole

Reduce oven heat to 400°F (200°C).

In a baking dish, add a layer of crispy fries.

Sprinkle half the cheese over the fries.

Add the cooked beef mixture on top.

Add remaining cheese over the beef.
4. Bake

Bake for 10–12 minutes, until cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
5. Make the Burger Sauce

Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl until smooth.

Drizzle generously over the hot casserole.
6. Serve

Garnish with parsley or green onions.
