Ham and Cheese Sticks

Ingredients

  • 1 can crescent roll dough (or puff pastry, or pizza dough)

  • 8–12 slices ham (thin or medium sliced)

  • 8–12 sticks or slices of cheese

    • mozzarella, cheddar, Swiss, provolone, or string cheese

  • 1 egg (for egg wash — optional)

  • Optional:

    • Garlic powder

    • Italian seasoning

    • Sesame seeds

    • Honey mustard or marinara for dipping

Instructions

1. Prep

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.

2. Assemble

  1. Unroll the dough and cut into 8–12 strips (or separate the crescent triangles).

  2. Place a slice of ham on each strip.

  3. Add a cheese stick or a rectangular slice of cheese.

  4. Roll the dough around the ham and cheese tightly, sealing the edges so cheese doesn’t leak.

3. Add Finishing Touches

  • Brush with egg wash for shine (optional).

  • Sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian herbs, or sesame seeds if desired.

4. Bake

Bake 10–15 minutes, or until:

  • golden brown

  • crispy on the outside

  • melted cheese inside

5. Serve

Delicious served with:

  • marinara

  • ranch

  • honey mustard

  • garlic butter dip

Great warm, room temperature, or packed in lunches.

Variations

  • Jalapeño popper style: add sliced jalapeños + cream cheese

  • Breakfast sticks: use scrambled egg + ham + cheese

  • Pizza sticks: add pepperoni + mozzarella + a smear of pizza sauce

  • Everything bagel version: sprinkle with everything seasoning
