Classic BLT on Lightly Toasted Sourdough

Ingredients
8 slices thick-cut bacon
8 slices sourdough bread, lightly toasted
2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced
4–6 leaves crisp lettuce (romaine or iceberg)
4 tbsp mayonnaise (Duke’s or your favorite)
Salt & freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
Cook the Bacon
Fry bacon in a skillet over medium heat until golden and crispy.
Drain on paper towels.
Toast the Sourdough
Lightly toast bread slices — just enough to give a gentle crunch while keeping the soft bite of sourdough.
Assemble the Sandwich
Spread mayonnaise evenly on each slice of bread.
Layer lettuce, tomato slices (seasoned with salt & pepper), and crispy bacon.
Close with the second slice of sourdough.
Serve
Slice diagonally and serve immediately with chips, pickles, or a small salad.
Tips
Use heirloom tomatoes for a burst of color and flavor.
Add avocado for a BLTA variation.
A drizzle of hot sauce or Honey Dijon can take it to the next level.
