Honey Baked Ham
Ingredients:
1 fully cooked spiral-cut ham (8–10 pounds)
1 cup honey
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup Dijon mustard
¼ cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground cloves
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (optional, for tang)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Line a roasting pan with aluminum foil and place a rack inside. Set the ham on the rack, cut side down.
Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for about 1½ to 2 hours, or 10 minutes per pound, until heated through.
While the ham bakes, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, butter, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, and apple cider vinegar. Heat over medium-low until smooth and slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
Remove the ham from the oven 30 minutes before it’s done. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).
Brush a generous layer of the glaze all over the ham, getting between the slices if possible. Return it to the oven, uncovered, for the last 25–30 minutes, brushing with more glaze every 10 minutes until the top is caramelized and golden.
Remove from the oven and let the ham rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Drizzle any remaining glaze over the top before serving.
This Honey Baked Ham is sweet, savory, and beautifully glazed — tender on the inside with a sticky, golden crust. Perfect for holiday feasts, Sunday dinners, or any special gathering that calls for a classic Southern showstopper.
