๐Ÿ Buttered Noodles

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz pasta (egg noodles, spaghetti, or your choice)

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • Salt, to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

  • Pinch of garlic powder (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta:
    Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente.

  2. Drain and reserve:
    Drain the pasta, reserving about ยผ cup of pasta water.

  3. Butter the noodles:
    In the same pot (or a clean skillet), melt the butter over medium heat. Add the drained noodles and toss to coat evenly. Add a splash of the reserved pasta water to help the butter cling to the noodles.

  4. Season:
    Season with salt, black pepper, and Parmesan cheese. For extra flavor, sprinkle in chopped parsley or a pinch of garlic powder.

  5. Serve:
    Serve hot as a side dish or light main course
