Portuguese Chicken
Ingredients
To prepare chicken Portuguese style, you’ll need:
4 chicken thighs
1 large onion, finely chopped
3 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons of the olive oil
1 red pepper, cut into strips
1 green pepper, cut into strips
1 large tomato, peeled and chopped
1 cup of chicken broth
2 leaves of laurel
1 teaspoon of sweet pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Step by step to prepare Portuguese chicken:
Golding the base:
Heat two tablespoons of olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and cloves of garlic, stirring occasionally until golden brown and fragrant. This process can take between 5 and 7 minutes.
Insert the peppers:
Add the red and green pepper strips to the crockpot. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, until the peppers begin to soften and release their juices.
Add the tomato:
Insert the chopped tomato. Stir well to mix with peppers, onions and garlic. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing tomato to thaw slightly and form a thick sauce.
