🍓 Fried strawberry cheesecake sandwich recipe
✅ Ingredients:
For the filling:
- 1 cup of softened cream cheese
- 2 tablespoons of icing sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- ½ cup of finely chopped fresh strawberries (or strawberry jam).
For the sandwich:
- 8 slices of white sandwich bread (crusts trimmed)
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- Butter or oil for frying.

Make the filling:
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, icing sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold in the chopped strawberries (or swirl in jam for easier spreading).
Assemble the sandwiches:

- Take a slice of bread and spread a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture onto it.
- Top with another slice of bread and press the edges firmly together to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges or cut into triangles or rounds with a cutter.
Prepare the coating:
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together.
- In another bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon together.
Fry the sandwiches:
- Heat a little butter or oil in a frying pan over a medium heat.
- Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
- Fry until golden brown on both sides, which should take about 2–3 minutes per side.
Coat in cinnamon sugar:
- While still warm, roll the fried sandwiches in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Serve warm.
- Optionally, dust with icing sugar or drizzle with chocolate or strawberry sauce.
- For the best texture, serve immediately.
