🍔 Juicy Bison Burgers

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground bison

  • ÂĽ cup finely chopped onion

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 4 burger buns, toasted

  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, mustard, mayo

Instructions:

  1. Mix the patties: In a bowl, combine ground bison, onion, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently—don’t overwork the meat.

  2. Form the patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty. Make a small indentation in the center of each to prevent puffing while cooking.

  3. Cook: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness.

  4. Toast the buns: While the burgers cook, lightly toast the buns on the grill or skillet for 1–2 minutes.

  5. Assemble: Place each patty on a toasted bun and add your favorite toppings—lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles, mustard, or mayo.

Serving Tip:
Bison burgers are leaner than beef, so avoid overcooking to keep them juicy. Their slightly sweet, rich flavor pairs perfectly with sharp cheddar or a smoky barbecue sauce.
