 Tender braised beef steaks with onion gravy

Slow-cooked juicy beef steaks in a rich onion gravy. Comfort food made simple!

Ingredients:

• 2 beef steaks (e.g. chuck or sirloin)
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 2 large onions, sliced
• 2 cloves of garlic, minced
• 1 cup of beef broth
• 1 tsp salt
• ½ teaspoon black pepper
• 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
• 1 teaspoon of flour (optional, for thickening)

Instructions:

1. Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and sear the steaks on both sides until browned. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same pan, sauté the onions and garlic until soft and golden.
3. If using, add flour and stir, then pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.
4. Return the steaks to the pan, cover and braise on a low heat for 45–60 minutes until tender.
5. Season with salt and pepper, then serve the steaks with the rich onion gravy on top.
