Cream Cheese Cake

🧺 Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups White Lily all-purpose flour

  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar

  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ½ teaspoon almond extract (optional but adds a sweet Southern touch)

  • Pinch of salt

🥣 Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan or tube pan.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3–5 minutes).

  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

  4. Stir in the vanilla and almond extract.

  5. Add the flour and salt, mixing just until smooth. Don’t overbeat.

  6. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top.

  7. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  8. Cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

🍋 Optional Glaze (if you want to dress it up):

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 tablespoons milk or lemon juice

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Whisk together and drizzle over the cooled cake.
