Brown Sugar Bacon Little Smokies

Ingredients

  • 1 (14 oz) package Little Smokies

  • 1 lb bacon, cut into thirds

  • 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • Optional add-ins:

    • ¼ tsp cayenne (for heat)

    • 1–2 tbsp maple syrup

    • ½ tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

1. Prep

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top (helps bacon crisp).
    If no rack, just foil the pan well—there will be caramelized sugar.

2. Wrap the sausages

  • Wrap each Little Smokie with a piece of bacon.

  • Place seam-side down on the rack or pan.

3. Add the brown sugar coat

  • Sprinkle brown sugar generously over all the bacon-wrapped smokies.

  • Lightly sprinkle black pepper (and optional cayenne or paprika).

4. Bake

  • Bake 25–35 minutes, or until bacon is crisp and sugar is melted and caramelized.

  • For extra crispy edges, broil the last 1–2 minutes.

5. Serve

  • Let cool 5 minutes (the sugar gets VERY hot).

  • Serve warm with toothpicks, if desired.
