Taco Stuffed Shells Recipe 🌮🧀
Ingredients
- 20–24 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup salsa
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup enchilada sauce or taco sauce
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: sour cream, green onions, jalapeños, cilantro
Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta

Boil the jumbo shells according to package instructions until al dente.
Drain and let them cool slightly.
2. Make the Taco Filling
In a skillet over medium heat:
- Cook the ground beef with onion until browned.
- Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
- Drain excess grease.
- Stir in taco seasoning and salsa.
- Mix in the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
3. Stuff the Shells
Fill each cooked shell with the taco meat mixture.
4. Assemble
- Spread enchilada sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange stuffed shells in the dish.
- Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top.
5. Bake
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20–25 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
6. Serve
Top with sour cream, cilantro, or green onions and enjoy!
Tips
- Add black beans or corn for extra flavor.
- Use spicy salsa if you like heat.
- Chicken or turkey also works great instead of beef.
