Vidalia Onion Dip
Ingredients:
2 large Vidalia onions, finely chopped
2 tablespoons butter
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped Vidalia onions and cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring often, until soft and lightly caramelized. Let cool slightly.
In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt until smooth.
Fold in the cooked onions and stir well to combine.
Spread the mixture into a greased baking dish and bake for 25–30 minutes until hot and bubbly with a lightly golden top.
Serve warm with crackers, chips, or toasted bread.
