Texas Trash Dip

⭐ Texas Trash Dip (Hot Bean & Cheese Party Dip)

Ingredients

  • 2 cans refried beans (about 800 g total)

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 package (250 g) cream cheese, softened

  • 1 packet taco seasoning

  • 1 cup salsa (your favorite)

  • 2 cups shredded cheese (Cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)

  • 1 small can green chiles (optional)

  • ½ cup sliced black olives (optional)

  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

  2. In a bowl, mix:

    • refried beans

    • softened cream cheese

    • sour cream

    • taco seasoning

    • salsa

  3. Stir until smooth and well combined.

  4. Spread the mixture into a baking dish (20×20 cm or similar).

  5. Top with shredded cheese (add olives or green chiles if using).

  6. Bake 20–25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Optional Extras

  • Add cooked minced beef for a meatier dip.

  • Add jalapeños for extra spice.

  • Top with chopped green onions after baking.
