🌶️ Candied Jalapeños (Cowboy Candy)
⭐ Ingredients

1 lb fresh jalapeños (about 12–15 peppers)

2 cups sugar
-
1 cup apple cider vinegar
-
½ tsp turmeric
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
¼ tsp ginger powder
-
¼ tsp chili flakes (optional for extra heat)

Pinch of salt
⭐ Instructions
1. Prep the jalapeños

Wash peppers.

Slice into ¼-inch rings (remove some seeds if you want it milder).

Set aside.
2. Make the syrup
In a pot combine:

Sugar
-
Apple cider vinegar
-
Turmeric
-
Garlic powder
-
Ginger
-
Salt
-
Chili flakes (optional)
Heat over medium, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Bring to a low boil and simmer 5 minutes.
3. Add the jalapeños
Add sliced jalapeños to the syrup.
Simmer 4–5 minutes, until peppers look slightly darker and more glossy.
4. Jar them
Use a slotted spoon to transfer jalapeños into clean jars.
Pour hot syrup over them, leaving a little space at the top.
Let cool, then refrigerate.
