Ingredients

  • 4–6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)

  • 1 (0.7 oz) packet Italian dressing mix (dry seasoning)

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup

  • Β½ cup chicken broth (or white wine for extra flavor)

  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • 1 (4 oz) can sliced mushrooms, drained (optional)

  • 1 pound angel hair pasta, cooked

  1. Prepare the sauce:
    In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine:

    • Cream of chicken soup

    • Cream cheese

    • Butter

    • Chicken broth (or white wine)

    • Italian dressing mix

    Stir until smooth and creamy, then remove from heat.

  2. Add chicken to the crockpot:
    Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
    (Optional: season lightly with salt and pepper.)

  3. Pour sauce over chicken:
    Pour the prepared sauce evenly over the chicken. Add mushrooms if using.

  4. Cook:

    • On LOW for 5–6 hours

    • Or on HIGH for 2½–3 hours
      (Cook until chicken is tender and easily shredded.)

  5. Serve:
    Cook the angel hair pasta just before serving.
    Spoon the creamy chicken mixture over the pasta. Garnish with parsley or grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
