SOUTHERN FRIED CATFISH
Crispy, golden catfish with a zesty kick — ready in minutes!
Ingredients
4 catfish fillets
1 cup cornmeal
½ cup flour
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste
1 cup buttermilk
Oil for frying
Instructions
1. Pat catfish dry. Soak in buttermilk 15–20 min.
2. Mix cornmeal, flour, and seasonings.
3. Coat fish in mixture.
4. Fry in hot oil (350°F/175°C) 3–5 min per side until golden.
5. Drain on paper towels. Serve with lemon wedges & dipping sauce.
