20 Minute Homemade Bread

🍞 20-Minute Homemade Bread (No Yeast)

🛒 Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup milk

  • 2 tablespoons oil or melted butter

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
    Lightly grease a small baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

  2. Mix dry ingredients
    In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

  3. Add wet ingredients
    Stir in milk and oil (or melted butter). Mix until a soft dough forms.
    Do not overmix — just until combined.

  4. Shape the dough
    Transfer to a lightly floured surface. Gently shape into a round loaf (about 1–1½ inches thick).
    Place on prepared pan.
    Optional: Cut a shallow “X” on top for even baking.

  5. Bake
    Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. Cool slightly & enjoy!
    Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing.

  • ½ cup shredded cheese

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder + dried herbs

  • 1 tablespoon honey (for slightly sweet bread)
