🧄 Savory Garlic Butter Pork Chops

Ingredients

For the Pork Chops:

  • 4 boneless or bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (or ½ teaspoon dried)

  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)

  • ½ cup chicken broth (optional, for extra sauce)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pork Chops:

    • Pat pork chops dry with paper towels.

    • Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder.

  2. Sear the Pork Chops:

    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Add pork chops and sear for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and nearly cooked through.

    • Remove chops from the skillet and set aside.

  3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

    • Reduce heat to medium.

    • In the same skillet, add butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.

    • Stir in thyme and red pepper flakes (if using).

    • For a saucier dish, add chicken broth and simmer for 1–2 minutes.

  4. Combine and Finish:

    • Return pork chops to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter sauce over them.

    • Simmer for another 2–3 minutes, or until pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

  5. Serve:

    • Spoon the garlic butter over the chops, sprinkle with parsley, and serve hot.
