🧀 Three Cheese Quiche

Ingredients (1 standard 9-inch quiche)

Crust

  • 1 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

Filling

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ tsp garlic powder (optional)

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional but classic in quiche)

Cheeses

Use any combo you like, but this blend works beautifully:

  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar

  • ½ cup crumbled feta
    (~2 cups cheese total)

🧑‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the crust

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Place crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges.

  3. Optional but recommended: Blind-bake the crust:

    • Line with parchment and fill with pie weights or dried beans.

    • Bake 10–12 minutes, then remove weights and bake 5 more minutes.

2. Prepare the filling

  1. Whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and nutmeg.

  2. Spread all three cheeses evenly over the bottom of the crust.

3. Assemble & bake

  1. Pour the egg mixture over the cheese.

  2. Place quiche on a baking sheet (for easy handling).

  3. Bake 35–45 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.

  4. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing—this helps it firm up.

🌿 Optional Add-Ins

If you want to take your quiche up a level:

  • Sautéed spinach

  • Cooked bacon or ham

  • Caramelized onions

  • Roasted red peppers

  • Mushrooms

  • Scallions or chives
