🥧 CREAMY SWEET POTATO PIE (WITH CONDENSED MILK)

🥧 Creamy Sweet Potato Pie (with Condensed Milk)

Ingredients

For the Pie

  • 1 ½ cups mashed cooked sweet potatoes
    (about 2–3 medium sweet potatoes)

  • 1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk

  • 2 large eggs

  • ¼ cup melted butter

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg

  • ½ tsp ground ginger (optional)

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (deep dish works best)

Instructions

1. Prepare the sweet potatoes

  • Bake or boil sweet potatoes until very tender.

  • Peel and mash until completely smooth (you can use a mixer for extra creaminess).

2. Make the filling

In a large bowl, whisk together:

  1. Mashed sweet potatoes

  2. Sweetened condensed milk

  3. Eggs

  4. Melted butter

  5. Vanilla

  6. Cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt

Mix until very smooth. (A hand mixer helps make it extra creamy!)

3. Fill and bake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.

  3. Bake 45–55 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

    • If crust edges brown too fast, cover with foil.

4. Cool & serve

Allow to cool for at least 2 hours before slicing so the pie can set.
Serve with whipped cream or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
