1 unbaked deep-dish pie shell

3 large eggs

½ cup sugar

2 ⅔ cups milk

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, lightly beat the eggs.

Add sugar, salt, nutmeg, milk, and vanilla extract.
Mix until well combined (do not overbeat). -
Carefully pour the custard mixture into the unbaked pie shell.

Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.

Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.

Sprinkle the top with freshly grated nutmeg before serving.
