Grandma’s Tastiest 10-Minute Dinner Recipe

🍳 Grandma’s Tastiest 10-Minute Dinner

(aka “You’re not leaving the table hungry”)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 small onion, sliced

  • 1 can green beans, drained (or frozen)

  • Salt & black pepper

  • Optional but VERY grandma-approved:

    • A splash of chicken broth

    • A pinch of garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high.

  2. Melt the butter, add sausage slices.

  3. Brown sausage for 3–4 minutes (don’t rush—this is flavor).

  4. Toss in onion and cook 2 minutes until soft.

  5. Add green beans, season with salt & pepper (and garlic powder if using).

  6. Splash in a little broth, stir, and cook 2–3 more minutes.

  7. Taste. Adjust seasoning. Serve hot.

How Grandma Would Serve It

  • With buttered bread or cornbread

  • Maybe a quick fried egg on top

  • And a look that says: “See? You didn’t need takeout.”

If you want, I can give you:

  • a 10-minute chicken version

  • a Southern-style gravy upgrade

  • or a poor-but-delicious pantry dinner
