Golden Skillet Fried Cabbage with Garlic and Herbs

Ingredients:

  • 1 large green cabbage, cored and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¾ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (optional garnish)

Directions:

Heat olive oil and butter together in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add sliced onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes until soft and lightly golden.
Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add sliced cabbage to the skillet and toss gently to coat with oil.
Season with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes.
Cook uncovered for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and caramelized.
Drizzle with apple cider vinegar and toss to combine.
Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley or green onions before serving.
