2 cups granulated sugar

½ cup evaporated milk

¼ cup light corn syrup

¼ cup unsalted butter

Pinch of salt

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups mixed nuts or peanuts/pecans (chopped or whole)
Instructions

Line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment.

In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, corn syrup, butter, and salt.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches a steady boil.

Continue boiling and stirring until mixture reaches 235–238°F (soft-ball stage)
(about 6–8 minutes). -
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

Quickly fold in nuts.

Drop spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet.

Let cool completely until firm.
