2 cups granulated sugar

½ cup evaporated milk

¼ cup light corn syrup

¼ cup unsalted butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups chopped pecans
Instructions

Line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment. Set aside.

In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, corn syrup, butter, and salt.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a steady boil.

Continue cooking and stirring until mixture reaches 235–238°F (soft-ball stage)
(about 5–7 minutes). -
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

Quickly fold in chopped pecans.

Drop spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet.

Let cool and set completely (about 30 minutes).
