Creamed Chipped Beef Cheese Ball

 

🧀 Ingredients

  • 2 (8-oz) packages cream cheese, softened

  • 1 jar (4.5 oz) dried beef, finely chopped

  • ½ cup green onions, finely chopped (green parts only)

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley or extra chopped dried beef for rolling the outside

  • Optional add-ins:

    • ½ cup shredded cheddar

    • 1–2 tbsp diced pimentos

    • Dash of hot sauce for heat

🥣 Instructions

1. Mix the cheese base

In a bowl combine:

  • Softened cream cheese

  • Worcestershire sauce

  • Garlic powder

  • Onion powder

  • Black pepper

Mix until smooth.

2. Add the good stuff

Fold in:

  • Chopped dried beef

  • Chopped green onions

  • (Optional) cheddar or pimentos

Mix well.

3. Shape it

Scoop mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap.
Form into a ball (or log).
Chill at least 1–2 hours to firm up.

4. Coat the outside

Roll the cheese ball in:

  • Chopped parsley
    OR

  • Extra finely chopped dried beef
    OR

  • A mix of both

This adds flavor + a pretty finish.

5. Serve

Serve with:

  • Ritz crackers

  • Butter crackers

  • Toasted baguette slices

  • Celery sticks

⭐ Tips

  • For the BEST flavor, chill overnight.

  • If it’s too soft, add a bit more dried beef or cheddar.

  • If it’s too firm, let it sit out 10 minutes before serving.
