Smashed Avocado Bruschetta
Ingredients :
2 ripe avocados
1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 French baguette, sliced into ½-inch pieces
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
2 tbsp fresh basil leaves, chopped
1 clove garlic, halved
Optional: crumbled feta or mozzarella pearls for topping
Instructions :
1. Prepare the Avocado Spread
Cut avocados in half, remove pits, and scoop flesh into a bowl.
Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
Mash with a fork until slightly chunky.
2. Toast the Bread
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat a grill pan.
Brush baguette slices with olive oil on both sides.
Toast until golden and crisp, about 5–7 minutes.
3. Rub with Garlic
While warm, gently rub each toast slice with the cut side of the garlic clove for flavor.
4. Assemble the Bruschetta
Spread smashed avocado generously on each toast slice.
Top with halved cherry tomatoes and sprinkle with chopped basil.
Add optional cheese topping if desired.
5. Serve
Arrange on a platter and serve immediately for best texture.
