Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, completely cooled
    (use medium–dark roast for best flavor)

  • ½ cup ice cubes

  • 2–4 tablespoons milk or cream
    (whole milk, half-and-half, or cream)

  • 1–2 teaspoons sugar or sweetener (optional)
    (simple syrup works best for iced drinks)

  • Optional add-ins:

    • Vanilla syrup

    • Caramel syrup

    • Sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Brew the coffee

    • Brew coffee slightly stronger than usual.

    • Let it cool completely (hot coffee melts ice too fast).

  2. Fill the glass

    • Add ice cubes to a tall glass.

  3. Pour the coffee

    • Slowly pour the chilled coffee over the ice.

  4. Add sweetness (optional)

    • Stir in sugar or syrup until dissolved.
