Prime Rib Roast
Description:
A succulent, juicy prime rib roast with a perfectly caramelized crust and tender, pink center. Simple seasoning highlights the natural beef flavor, making it the ultimate centerpiece for any special meal.
Ingredients (Serves 4–6):
• 1 prime rib roast (about 4–5 lbs)
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
• 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
• 2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp black pepper
• 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
1. Prep Roast: Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Rub roast with olive oil, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper.
2. Sear: Place roast fat-side up in a roasting pan. Roast at 450°F for 15 minutes to develop a crust.
3. Roast: Reduce heat to 325°F (165°C) and cook 1.5–2 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 130–135°F (medium-rare).
4. Rest: Tent with foil and rest 15–20 minutes before slicing.
5. Serve: Slice thick and serve with au jus, horseradish sauce, or roasted vegetables.
