Pecan Pie Dump Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) pecan pie filling (or use 1 cup corn syrup + 1 cup chopped pecans + 2 eggs + 1 cup brown sugar if you can’t find it)

  • 1 can (14–15 oz) evaporated milk

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 box yellow cake mix

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

  • 1 cup butter, melted (2 sticks)

Instructions

1. Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Grease a 9×13 baking dish.

2. Make the pecan layer

In a mixing bowl, whisk together:

  • Pecan pie filling

  • Evaporated milk

  • Eggs

  • Vanilla extract

Pour this mixture into the prepared baking dish.

3. Add cake mix

  • Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the pecan mixture—don’t stir.

4. Add pecans & butter

  • Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the cake mix.

  • Drizzle the melted butter over the entire top, trying to cover as much of the dry mix as possible.

5. Bake

  • Bake 50–60 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.

6. Cool & serve

  • Let it cool at least 20–30 minutes to set.

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
