  • ½ cup sugar

  • ½ cup orange juice

  • 1 tsp orange zest

Cream Layer

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened

  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp orange zest

Assembly

  • 1 package ladyfingers (about 24)

  • ½ cup orange juice (or orange juice mixed with a splash of Grand Marnier)

  • Extra cranberries or orange zest for garnishing

🍊 Instructions

1. Make the Cranberry Compote

  1. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and zest.

  2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.

  3. Cook 8–10 minutes until berries burst and mixture thickens slightly.

  4. Let cool completely.
(It will thicken more as it cools.)

2. Prepare the Cream

  1. In a bowl, beat heavy cream to stiff peaks.

  2. In another bowl, mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, vanilla, and zest until smooth.

  3. Fold whipped cream gently into mascarpone mixture until light and airy.

3. Assemble the Tiramisu

  1. Quickly dip ladyfingers in orange juice (don’t soak—just a fast dip!).

  2. Arrange a single layer in a baking dish or trifle bowl.

  3. Spread half the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.

  4. Spread half the cranberry compote on top.

  5. Repeat layers: ladyfingers → cream → cranberry compote.

4. Chill

Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best flavor.

5. Serve

Top with:

  • Sugared cranberries

  • Orange zest

  • A dusting of powdered sugar

  • A little extra cranberry sauce drizzled on top
